Thank you to everyone who turned up to dance in the Flashmob
The day started with a slot with Donna Birrell’s breakfast show on BBC Radio Cornwall.
Angie Emrys-Jones and daughter Lizzie, Annmarie Goff and daughter Francesca and Becci Gowers talked about the Flashmob and the use of dance to spread the word about unity and inclusion. The flashmob is our way of celebrating World Down Syndrome Day. As usual we had a very warm welcome from Donna – thanks to Radio Cornwall.
(You can hear it here: – http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04vdvpd#play if you scroll in approximately 1hr 37 although this will only be available for a month …)
Next stop was Lemon Quay in Truro for the Flashmob at 1pm. We had a wonderful turn out to the Flashmob, even the slightly damp weather didn’t put people off and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to support, dance and organise such an amazing event with special thanks to Kerry Raymond & Becci Gowers our dance experts!
We hope to add some photos of the day and a video of the Flashmob itself once these are made available.
